Granada Airport to the city centre: bus, taxi or pre-booked transfer
To get from Granada Airport to the city centre you have three options: the regular airport bus, a taxi from the airport rank or a transfer booked in advance. Federico García Lorca Airport (GRX) is about 20–30 minutes from the centre by motorway. Here is what each option offers, so you can choose based on your arrival time, your luggage and who you are travelling with.

By bus
A regular bus runs between the airport and Granada city centre. It is the cheapest option. Check the timetable on the airport’s official website before you travel.
Bear in mind: the timetable may not match your flight, the bus can be full in high season and it drops you at a stop, not at the door of your accommodation.
By taxi from the airport rank
Taxis usually wait outside the arrivals hall. You pay when you reach your destination, according to the fare for the journey.
With a pre-booked transfer
If you would rather not depend on timetables or queues, book your transfer in advance. We wait for you in the arrivals hall with a name board, track your flight if you send us the number and take you straight to the door of your hotel or apartment. For streets with restricted access, we agree a permitted point beforehand.

Which option should you choose?
- Travelling alone with light luggage, during the day: the bus may be enough.
- Arriving at night, with children or with large suitcases: a pre-booked transfer saves you waiting and drops you at the door.
- Three or four of you: compare, because a private transfer can cost about the same as several tickets and takes you straight there.
- Staying in the Albaicín or on a street closed to traffic: it is best to agree the pick-up or drop-off point in advance.
